About HTTP Viewer & Request Tester
This comprehensive tool is designed for web developers and API engineers to test HTTP endpoints, simulate different browser environments, and inspect network traffic. It provides dual operational modes: a Live REST Client for direct endpoint testing, and an offline Raw HTTP Parser to cleanly format, structure, and audit raw text packets without browser CORS restrictions.
How to Use Live Request Mode
- Step 1: Choose your HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, PATCH) and input the target API URL.
- Step 2: Pick a User Agent preset from the dropdown or write custom headers and body payloads using standard JSON format.
- Step 3: Click Send Request to inspect response status badges, network latency, and formatted output data.
How to Use Raw HTTP Parser
- Purpose: Used to clean up, format, and structure messy text packets (such as HTTP requests copied from logs or proxies) locally without triggering network requests.
- Step 1: Paste standard raw text containing a request line, headers, and an optional body separated by an empty line.
- Step 2: Click Parse Packet to extract the status line, clean header tables, and formatted JSON/text payloads. Note that GET requests will show (No Body) because they do not carry payload bodies.
Frequently Asked Questions
Browser security restrictions prevent web pages from calling APIs that do not explicitly permit cross-origin access. Use the Raw HTTP Parser mode or test against CORS-enabled endpoints when direct execution is blocked.
GET requests only transmit a request line and headers to retrieve resources, meaning they do not contain a request body. POST or PUT requests containing transmitted data will properly display their payload body.
Yes, all testing and parsing operations run entirely inside your browser client-side. Your inputs, headers, and tokens are never saved or sent to any external servers.
